Board Leadership Program

Applications are now open for the 2023 Women’s Board Leadership Program.

To advance gender equality and increase the diversity and representation of women serving on boards, the Victorian Government is sponsoring 50 women to study a Diploma of Governance, supporting women to progress their board careers in the not-for-profit sector.

It's double last year’s number of scholarships, after huge demand for places from the community sector.

Women now make up 54 per cent of all public board positions, but we still need greater representation of Victoria’s diverse community serving on boards, including First Nations women, women from culturally and linguistically diverse communities, women with a disability, LGBTIQ+ people and women from rural and regional Victoria.

The scholarship is for all women and the course is delivered online by the Institute of Community Directors Australia (ICDA) (@communitydirectors). Participants have 12 months to complete the program. It is designed for women currently serving or aspiring to serve on boards of not-for-profit organisations or committees of management.

Applications are open until 15 March, apply at: https://communitydirectors.com.au/training/office-for-women-leadership-program-scholarships?
