The program is confidential and free of charge to and no GP referral required.

NewAccess is developed by Beyond Blue and delivered by mental health service providers. NewAccess coaches use Low-intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, a structured, evidence-based psychological treatment.

NewAccess mental health coaching could be right for you if you’re looking for affordable therapy to manage stress and worries. You don’t need a GP referral and the program is free of charge to you.

Working one-on-one with a mental health coach over 6 sessions, you’ll learn practical strategies to manage stressors such as:

  • coping with stress and anxiety - including study and work stress or increasing motivation at work

  • life changes – moving house, changing jobs, becoming a parent or losing someone close

  • sleep or concentration issues

  • natural disasters – recovering from fires and floods

  • financial worries.

“I was experiencing business-related stress which spilled over into my personal life. By the end of the program, I had no anxiety and had complete confidence in my decision-making. “The sessions were tailored to my specific challenges, and the weekly activities and coaching strategies were practical and realistic."
